Project Background

Taylors Ferry Reservoirs & Site Seismic Improvements

TVWD is constructing seismic upgrades at it's Taylors Ferry Reservoirs site, including replacing the two existing drinking water reservoirs at Taylors Ferry Road and 65th Avenue. This facility will receive incoming water from the Willamette Water Supply System when completed in 2026. This location will continue to be one of the major facilities for TVWD to serve water to the Metzger community. The Taylors Ferry Reservoirs serve approximately 4,000 residents plus numerous commercial and industrial businesses.

This project is a $16 million investment in water infrastructure, paid through revenues from regular water rates and charges. TVWD is also seeking nearly $12 million in FEMA grant funding to offset a portion of the project’s cost and reduce impacts on future water rates.

This project will be the most significant water system improvement in the Metzger area since the current reservoirs were constructed.
