The Willamette Intake Facilities (WIF) Commission is responsible for oversight of the management and operation of the Willamette Intake Facilities in a prudent, economic and efficient manner to:
- Provide water to the existing Willamette River Water Treatment Plant and the future Willamette Water Supply System Water Treatment Plant
- Preserve and protect the Parties' Water Rights
- Support the functioning of the Intake Facilities as the foundation of their water systems, and
- Support their commitment to watershed planning and management
The WIF Commission is a partnership formed under ORS Chapter 190 between the following Parties: the Tualatin Valley Water District, and the cities of Wilsonville, Sherwood, Hillsboro, Tigard, and Beaverton.

ABOUT THE WILLAMETTE INTAKE FACILITIES
The Intake Facilities are used to withdraw and transmit water to the Parties at the agreed System Separation Point between the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant System and the Willamette Water Supply System. The Intake Facilities include the fish screens, intake pipe, caisson, pump station building, and other jointly owned equipment leading up to the System Separation Point defined as the point at which water leaves the caisson and enters either the pumps for the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant or the Willamette Water Supply System, which will be pumped to the Willamette Water Supply System Water Treatment Plant.
