Water will be drawn from the Willamette River near Wilsonville, treated at an advanced water treatment facility, and conveyed through earthquake-resilient pipes to TVWD customers.

Water supply integration is the process of replacing TVWD’s main water source with a new source of water – the Willamette River at Wilsonville - and managing any resulting changes.

The Willamette Water Supply System is comprised of a state-of-the-art treatment facility, enhanced water storage capacity, and earthquake-resilient pipeline. Water will be drawn from the Willamette River, one of Oregon’s largest rivers.

The Willamette Water Supply System (WWSS) Commission is responsible to oversee the design, permitting, funding, construction, ownership, operation, management, repair and replacement, and, as reasonable, providing information to the WWSS Partners.

TVWD and the Cities of Tigard, Tualatin, and Sherwood are committed to protecting the Willamette River by working together to maintain their shared water right through responsible management and stakeholder engagement related to this valuable resource.

The Willamette Intake Facilities (WIF) Commission is responsible for oversight of the management and operation of the Willamette Intake Facilities in a prudent, economic and efficient manner.
