TVWD offers multiple options for customers who need fireflow information. Please note: TVWD handles fireflow tests on all public hydrants within the district. Private hydrants behind a fireline should be tested by private fire protection companies.
Fire Flow Test Options
The options for fireflow tests are described below:
- Hydraulic Model Report – TVWD provides a static pressure and flow capacity at 20 PSI from a hydraulic modeling simulation. NOTE: Not accepted by the City of Hillsboro.
- Field Flow Test – TVWD provides a static pressure, residual pressure, test flow rate, and estimated flow capacity at 20 PSI from a physical hydrant test performed by TVWD field personnel.
- Extended Pressure Report - TVWD provides static pressure data from a data logger deployed for a couple of days including Average, Minimum, Maximum Pressure, and the standard deviation in pressure
- Extended Pressure & Field Flow Test – TVWD provides an Extended Pressure Report and a Field Flow Test.
