Find A Certified Backflow Assembly Tester

As a public entity, Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) does not make recommendations for State certified backflow assembly testing companies.  To find a certified backflow assembly tester or testing company you may want to consider one or more of the following:

  • Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon Drinking Water Services' (DWS) website provides a public list of OHA-certified Backflow Assembly Testers. The list is voluntary so not all certified testers choose to be on the list. Select the county you want, and then you can sort by certification number, name of tester, employer, city, and state.  See the links below to access the DWS website.
  • An internet search for "Oregon backflow assembly tester" may be helpful.
  • Ask a neighbor, friends, or family members for recommendations.

You may want to read reviews of testing companies you are considering.  As with all businesses, service levels and pricing may vary greatly.

Please note:  ALL OHA-certified Backflow Assembly Testers are required by the State to submit the test report to the water provider within 10-business days of performing the test - their certification requires it.  For TVWD's service area, we require testers electronically submit their test report via our online tester portal.  TVWD does not accept emailed or mailed in copies of the test report.

If your test was completed but not received by TVWD, contact your testing company directly.
