Grand Opening Event: Schmidt Willamette Supply Facility

Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) invites you to tour our newest drinking water operations facility!

Enjoy an inside view of the facility and a reception where you'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow community members, stakeholders, and our TVWD project team.

The event’s special guest will be Mrs. Donna Schmidt, the cherished wife of Mr. Richard D. Schmidt, to whom this facility is dedicated. For 17 years, Mr. Schmidt served as an elected commissioner on the TVWD Board, where he advocated for projects like the Willamette Water Supply System and the fluoridation of our water. He passed on April 22, 2023, following a valiant 15-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. 

The new facility will serve as a vital link between TVWD’s future water source – the mid-Willamette River at Wilsonville – and TVWD’s existing water distribution system. Beyond this crucial connection, the facility will also fluoridate water before it enters the water distribution system.
