Project Background

The Future at 209th & Farmington

TVWD is building a new water operations facility near on the northeast side of SW 209th Avenue and Farmington Road. This facility will receive incoming water from the Willamette Water Supply System (WWSS), when the additional supply system is completed in 2026, and integrate the Willamette River source into TVWD's water distribution system. This location will be one of three connection points for TVWD to receive water form the WWSS system.

This project is budgeted for total investment of $6.1 million, which is paid through revenues from water fees and charges on utility bills. Emery & Sons Construction Group has been hired to build and commission the project.

TVWD has identified the Cooper Mountain area for construction of additional water facilities to better serve our customers. In late 2017, TVWD purchased the site at the northeast corner of 209th and Farmington for future water system facilities. These planned facilities originally included a new pump station, fluoridation system, and pipelines connecting to TVWD’s existing reservoirs.

The project has been scaled back significantly, with the current project plan and information presented here.
