Ridgetop Main Replacement

TVWD is replacing the water main along NW Ridgetop Court to improve system reliability. Construction has started and will take approximately six weeks to complete.

Ridgetop Court Reconnects

What is TVWD doing?

TVWD will install a new section of water main along NW Ridgetop Court east from NW 148th Avenue to NW Perimeter Court, including the cul-de-sac directly to the east. The project includes replacing 850 feet of existing 6-inch main with a larger, 8-inch, main plus installation of necessary valves and reconnection of all water services.

Why now?

The existing water main is at the end of its useful life and identified as a high priority replacement. Upgrading water mains helps to provide reliable water service into the future, reduces the chance of leaking and broken water mains, and provides greater fire protection coverage due to the increased size water main.

How can I stay informed?

Please note that due to a variety of reasons, all timelines are subject to change.

How does this affect me?

Depending on your property type and use, this project will affect you in different ways:

Water Service Disruptions

Please note, these dates may change due to forecasted winter weather. Updates will be posted as soon as they are known and sent via email.

Working Times

Work will occur between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work may periodically occur outside of these times and must be approved by Washington County. TVWD will communicate about any approved requests to modify work hours.

Traffic Disruptions

Vehicular and pedestrian access within the project area will be limited at times during construction. TVWD will maintain access to private driveways throughout the project. Temporary driveway access may be provided by placing steel plates over the exposed work areas while that section is being installed and connected, which is typically one day.

General Construction Disruptions

During construction, heavy equipment and materials will be located in the project work area. These areas will be clearly marked with cones and/or caution tape.

When construction is occurring, noise and dust may be present.
