Ridgetop Main Replacement

TVWD replaced the water main along NW Ridgetop Court to improve system reliability. Construction was nearly complete, with final road paving to occur in April.

Ridgetop Court Reconnects

What is TVWD doing?

TVWD installed a section of new water main along NW Ridgetop Court east from NW 148th Avenue to NW Perimeter Court and the cul-de-sac directly to the east on NW Perimeter. This included replacing 850 feet of existing 6-inch main with a larger, 8-inch, water main.

Why now?

The existing water main is at the end of its useful life and identified as a high priority replacement. Upgrading water mains helps to provide reliable water service into the future, reduces the chance of leaking and broken water mains, and provides greater fire protection coverage due to the increased size water main.

Please note that due to a variety of reasons, all timelines are subject to change.

How does this affect me?

Depending on your property type and use, this project will affect you in different ways:

Final Road Paving April 24-26

Final road paving is scheduled for April 24-26, weather dependent. Vehicle and pedestrian access within the project area will be limited at times during paving oppersations. Parking restrictions will be in place prior to paving to allow room for equipment to safely opperate.

Paving will restore the area of the street that was dug to replace the water main, including extra width to increase strength of the transition areas from the new paving to the current road material.

General Construction Disruptions

During construction, heavy equipment and materials will be located in the project work area. These areas will be clearly marked with cones and/or caution tape.

Water Service Disruptions

No further water service disruptions are planned.

Working Times

Work will occur between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work may periodically occur outside of these times and must be approved by Washington County. TVWD will communicate about any approved requests to modify work hours.

When construction is occurring, noise and dust may be present.
