National Awards
EPA Green Power Partnership (2006): Certificate of Partnership in recognition of efforts to reduce the risk of climate change through green power purchasing.
EPA Green Power Leadership Club (2006): For exemplary green power purchase that significantly exceeds minimum Green Power Partnership purchase requirements.
The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) Platinum Award for Competitiveness Achievement (2005): This recognizes long-term excellence and innovation in utility management. TVWD was one of only 14 water systems across the U.S. to receive the award.
AMWA Gold Award for Competitiveness Achievement (2001): This recognizes long-term excellence and innovation in utility management.
Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award (2004): Given to only 26 of more than 450 Oregon government agencies (including city, county, state, and special districts) in 2002, it was awarded for TVWD’s outstanding presentation of the 2003-2005 biennial budget.
GFOA Excellence in Financial Reporting Certificate (1990-2005): The certificate recognizes conformance with the highest standards of preparation of state and local government financial reports.
U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification (2005): The LEED rating system is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.
City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) Savvy Awards:
- Award of Excellence (2007): For the Kid’s Conservation Calendar. The Calendar took the third place award in the "Calendar: Population 140,000 to 1,200,000" category.
- Silver Circle Award (2005): For the Toilet Rebate Event. The Calendar took the second place award in the "Special Events - One Time Events" category.
- Silver Circle Award (2004): For the Kid’s Conservation Calendar. The Calendar took the second place award in the "Calendar: Population 140,000 to 1,200,000" category.
- Silver Circle Award (2004): For the Water Words newsletter. Published jointly with Clean Water Services, the newsletter took second place in the "Newsletter: Population 127,000 to 1,800,000" category.
National American Council of Engineering Companies Engineering Excellence Award (2003): For the Willamette Water Project. Partnered with the City of Wilsonville.
American Water Works Association (AWWA) Research Foundation (2003): 15-year Participation Award

The Oregon Chapter of the American Public Works Association Julian Prize for Sustainability (2004, 2007): Recognizing policies, practices and projects that showcase the role of public works in furthering the principles of sustainability.

Oregon Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) Award (2002-2004): Given to businesses that demonstrate outstanding health and safety practices.
Business Recycling Awards Group Take the Next Step Award (2003): Designed to stimulate new action in waste prevention, recycling and buying recycled products.

TVWD General Manager Greg DiLoreto was named the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Government Engineer of the Year (2005)

PNWS-AWWA Fuller Award (2006) Dean Fritzke: This is the highest award of the AWWA and is emblematic of distinguished service in the water supply field, demonstrated sound engineering skill, diplomatic talent, constructive leadership, professional services to the community, and professional services to the water works industry.
Sustainability Coordinator Cheryl Welch was named Interiors and Sources' 25 Environmental Champions for 2004
PNWS-AWWA Heart and Soul Awards: The Heart and Soul award recognizes individuals or organizations who perform a great service to the PNWS-AWWA but don’t always get noticed or receive recognition for their valuable contribution.

Field Service Operations Specialist Monte Carstens won the PNWS-AWWA Gimmick & Gadget (2003): Monte designed a bracket to mount inside meter vaults to hold Electronic Radio Transmitters for automated meter reading, which prevented the need to drill a hole in meter lids.
